Wattaqa is the combinaison of "Watt", the international unit of power and "Taqa" the arabic word for energy.

Wattaqa provides consultancy, advisory and project management services in end-use energy efficiency, energy Demand Side Management (DSM) and Energy Services (ESCO) activities with a focus in the Middle East and GCC region.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has identified energy efficiency as a critical "fuel" in the transition to a low-carbon economy. "Energy efficiency is the one energy resource that all countries possess in abundance" said Dr Fatih Birol, the IEA Executive Director.
